Back To Hell
Hey...
Im back to school..Dreading today.. School start at 9am, woke up early and its raining.. Feel like going back to sleep. No mood to go school. Drag myself up.. Im too tired to go school after 2-3 weeks of "break".. Its not a "break", its a torture.. All the projects and late nights in front of the computer. The number of bottles of Vanilla Coke i drank can mount up to 5.. 1.5 Litres bottles... Starting to hate school now.. Brain's too tired to just do any thinking..
Yesterday, slept at 1 plus.. Watched "Love and Honour". Acted by my favourite Japanese actor, Takuya Kimura.. Damn nice the movie.. Surprise to see OKTO screening it.. Lol.. But its really good.. About a blind Samurai wanting revenge... And Kimutaku's hair was like weird.. Keith, u should have seen it.. Waste my sms to remind u..
Aniwae, now in ELP in school.. Dunno whether wanna go eat or not.. Seriously feel lost and unmotivated.. Need my sumber of inspiration!!!
So, Ain here wishing all A Happy New Year in advance.. Dunno if im gonna blog soon with all the deadlines coming up.. Have a joyous New Year..

So, thank you to all the committee that make this camp successful.. Hopefully we can work together in another event. Just wanna apologize coz i didn't really contribute and talk much during the camp. I was feeling down (because of you guys noe wat..) and also was distracted on something else.. So sorry guys/gals..
OMG.. I just realised that i put pictures where i went to the AFF semi finals at the 3rd part of the retreat album.. Paisey... I already move them to another album.. Hehe.. Dui bu qi..
Ok la... Gotta get on with my projects... Die already.. Everyday sleep at 4am/5am.. Might as well no need to sleep.. Haha..

Is the world ready for CICAKMAN?
The first movie took $2.5m at M'sian box office, can the superhero sequel conquer the rest of the world?

WHATEVER you may have to say about a common housepest being the basis for a superhero, the numbers don't lie.
 Malaysian film Cicakman was a surprise hit in 2006 when it raked in almost RM6 million ($2.5 million) at the Malaysian box office. It collected $60,000 at the Singapore box office.
The sequel, Cicakman 2: Planet Hitam (Black Planet), opened last Thursday in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei.
Its director, former boybander Yusry Abdul Halim, 35, believes it will top the record-breaking achievements of the first film.
For a start, he's aiming at the international film festival circuit.
Cicakman 2 had its world debut in October at the 13th Pusan International Film Festival, heading a list of Asian superhero flicks as part of a special programme at the festival. Other movies featured include India's Krrish, Thailand's Mercury Man, the Philippines' Lastikman and Japan's Gekko Kamen.
In the Cicakman films, the Gotham-like city of Metrofulus gains a superhero when a slacker lab technician (Malaysian comedian Saiful Apek) accidentally drinks coffee contaminated by a virus-infected gecko and turns into Cicakman.
His nemesis is Professor Klon (Aznil Nawawi), responsible for infecting the people of Metrofulus with viruses in the first film.
In Cicakman 2, the superhero battles Klon again as the evil scientist tries to control the world's water supply.
The movie also stars Fasha Sandha, Sharifah Amani and Tamara Bleszynski.
Said Yusry in a phone interview from Brunei, where he was promoting the sequel along with Saiful: 'It was kind of strange for us, because we never thought we'd debut a Cicakman film at a film festival.
'I think it's the first time superhero movies are making their debut at a festival. 'I didn't expect anyone to turn up, because it was an 11am screening. But it was a full house! That was very encouraging.'
Yusry said he is also glad to move past the Spider-Man and Batman comparisons that plagued the first film.
Instead, he claimed that the international audience showed great interest in his movie.
How did he do it?
The main thing he was asked: How did he make a blockbuster action film with only three people working on the computer-generated imagery (CGI)?
Said Yusry: 'That's what most people seemed to be impressed with.
'Everyone's so used to Hollywood movies where huge teams of people work on their special effects. So some of the Americans I'd met were very, very encouraging with regards to the quality of what they saw in Cicakman.'
That is why Yusry and his producer brother Norman are exploring the idea of taking the film to more markets.
It will open in Indonesia next month and talks are underway for the film to reach markets in Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Korea and the US through home video or television.
He said he is excited to get the movie out to even more places, especially Western markets, but he'll have to wait to see how the film performs at the box office in the region.
It raked in over $540,000 in its opening weekend in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei.
In comparison, the first Cicakman took in over $830,000 in its first week in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei.
 Yusry acknowledged that the 'current economic climate' may make it difficult for the film to achieve the 'one million tickets' he is aiming for.
But that may not be the only reason.
Reviews of the movie have been dismal.
The Straits Times called it 'an invaluable how-not-to guide' for superhero flicks, while comments on blogs and forums have been discouraging.
One online blogger even sniped: 'It's so dumb, it's actually funny.'
Berita Harian, however, said the plot was fresh and the movie is saved by Saiful's charisma.
This is precisely the sentiment Yusry hopes more people will bring to the film.
Of the negative reviews, Yusry appeared blase: 'You can never please everyone. I just hope people come in with an open mind.'
He said his only concern as the director was to focus on making the film bigger and better.
But he did listen to feedback from fans and critics about the first film and decided to up the sequel's visuals.
$62,000 costume
This meant devoting a large part of the production to creating CGI for the film as well as spending over RM150,000 ($62,000) on the Cicakman costume.
Most of the money, he said, went to making body moulds for the three people who had to don the suit - lead actor Saiful, his double and his stuntman.
As a result, the sequel's budget increased to RM2.5million, compared to just over RM1.5 million for the first movie.
In addition, Yusry and his special effects team of two, devoted seven months to the CGI, making sure it was an improvement on the first film's effects.
Student Nurmaya Musa, 19, told The New Paper that while she appreciated the film's ambition - she noted a few nods to action scenes from The Matrix trilogy - she felt that the film was 'too much CGI, not enough story'.
'I think it's great that Yusry managed to make the film look good, even with a small team and on a budget, but a more engaging story would have been nice too,' she said.
So will there be a third movie in the pipeline?
Yusry cautioned against speaking too soon, saying: 'Of course we'd love to do another one, but we'll have to see how this one does.
'The thing with these kinds of movies is that they always have to be bigger and better. Or else, what's the point?'

re-AIN-mation
Hey.. Wats up all... It's been forever since i blog.. Hehhe.. Sorry eh.. Very busy with activities, common test and the Hari Raya Haji... Not much time to blog but so many things to share... So, where do i start???
Well lets start now... It doesn't follow the sequence when it happens..
Cicakman Promos
Cicakman Promos.. Last minute decision to go to both the places.. Which is Downtown East and Causeway Point. Both at different days which was Saturday and Sunday... Decided to go alone(not surprising) and since its a KRU event, of course i will never miss it... Hehhe.. Fanatic seh... At Downtown East, made some new friends.. Very nice people... Then i saw Yusry and Linda Onn appear from the back.. To my surprise, Norman was there too... They were very relaxed and casual as always.. Waving and smiling... And of course, im dumbstruck... There's many people gawking at them and wanting to be 1st in the queue to meet them... But i just take my time... I dunno how many times i had met them, but i never feel bored..hehehe...
Oh ya, there are other Suria's artistes too... As this was the Gala Premiere, the press, medias and artistes were invited to watch C2... I saw Fauzie Laily(took a pic with him.. hehe), Roslan, Khairul Anuar, Norfasarie and others... Heard that Sleeq were also there but didnt see them... Norman was super nice... He asked my name so that he could write on the poster which they will sign..
2nd day at Causeway Point... Not as many people as expected... But still quite overwhelming... I went to purchase the C2 original soundtrack and take picture again with Norman and Yusry.. Linda was absent.. Maybe she went back already since it's the eve of Hari Raya Haji.. And to my surprise, Norman remember me... He was like "You came also yesterday rite???" I just nodded as i was speechless to speak... He and Yusry the say "This is a true fan..." I went on to stand beside the Cicakman mascot and Norman turned and said "Wow.. Matching eh.. Can be Cicak gal" This is because i wore red jersey that day... Coincidentally same color as Cicakman... Hehhe.. Happy to the max... Got to speak with them... **On Cloud Nine** Thats it on Cicakman Promos... Btw, Lin... wat did the netizen sae bout Yusry??? Can give me the link to the forum??

Hari Raya Haji
This year Hari Raya Haji, i helped out at Assyafaah Mosque like last year... My job is to make sure the drinks in the container are not finished.. So i had to do syrups with other friends.. Carry the heavy container and shake it so the syrup dissolve..Haha.. It was fun and abit tiring... Actually there are too many helpers and some of the time, me and my friends went to watch the sheeps.. I dun dare to go to the slaughtering area, think i will faint... Also it was raining the whole time till i went home at about 1pm...

Common Test
Common Test.. Haiz.. Wat can i say... Its super difficult... I have 2 papers this time and its like a deathnote for me... It's super confusing and challenging... Dunno if i can make it this time round... Maybe my brain's super tired and i can't think... 3rd year stress period... Can't wait to end this diploma...
Projects
Did i mention that i was super busy?? Well, i am.. Now i have barely 2 weeks of holidays and i have to complete about 6 PROJECTS!!!! Damn it.. Thats too much for me to take.. So im juz doing one by one and let my barin sets to thinking... All these projects, i duuno if i can finished them by 28 December 2008... For God's Sake, give us a break.... Feel like my head's gonna explode anytime now... Won't be surprise if it does...
So now it's almost 2am.. Im still in front of the conputer.. No ideas to continue project... I have a Retreat Camp this Friday and Saturday.. Also planning to go out with friends on Thursday... Wen will get my job done???

SAW
Yesterday, Wednesday 3rd December 2008...
Went home at 3pm and guess wat... the handsome guy that i had a crush in took the same train as me... SAME TRAIN, SAME CARRIAGE, SAME DOOR, SAME BRAND SHOES, SAME RED AND BLACK WRISTBAND(ok... maybe his is red and dark blue.. didn't scrutinized it closely..), BUT STILL....
Funny sia... I first saw him at the opposite platform which is towards Marina and im going towards Jurong East as i lived in Sembawang... He was chatting with his friend there near the escalator... Then when the Marina train came, he say goodbye to his friend.. Shocking sia.. At the same time, my train came and i saw him walking towards the place i was standing as usual... I thought he was going to get in the door after mine but he suddenly stop behind me and went in after me...**Meltz**
I stand near the door, while he stand at the opposite door... Exactly facing me... I dunno if he knows i had a crush on him but i do... He looks like someone i noe but the thing is, i dunno his name, his race(coz he looks like a malay and chinese)and what course he is taking in NYP.. But i tink he is under Engineering... Always saw him at Block S and South Canteen and MacDonald... Hehehe.. Stop it seh Ain...
But really, wen he is in the train, i can't concentrate on my book which i was reading and can't help glancing at him... Lol... (Bu Ha Yi Si..*did i spell this correctly??*)
Oh by the way, Lin says Yusry KRU and Cicakman will be in Singapore on 6th and 7th December.. Im not so sure about this... If its confirm, i will update... Hopefully its true!!!! Never will miss seeing them even if im schooling... Hehehe...
But then, i dun think i will be in Singapore on 6th and 7th December!!!!! Aarrrgghh!!!! Damn it... Gonna go and cry if its confirm they are coming and im not even in Singapore for both days...
Ok la.. Will come back soon.. Too stress already.. Next week Common Test... I've got ICT Project Management and 3D paper on Tuesday and Wednesday.. Dunno if i can help out Assyafaah on Monday.. Sorry guys if i can't join...
